hello everyone!
it’s a while since my last website update but you should forgive me if I was so busy!!!
My new nickname will be “The Multitasking Extremist” soon or late!

I’m pleased and excited to announce a couple new releases which are .psychofagist. “Songs Of Faint And Distortion” and the RARA AVIS “Mutations/Multicellulars Mutations” double CD which features great musicians in the likes of Ken Vandermark, Simone Quatrana, Luca Pissavini and SEC_.

In the next months a couple tours will follow up to support the above mentioned releases.

…just back 3 days ago from the .psychofagist. European tour that found its path through France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Italy.
The tour was pretty successful and as always we spent some great moments on the road. 

Before the .psychofagist. ones I’ve been touring with the NUTIMBRE project through Italy, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. Some sweet and enjoyable moments with my bandmates even if we had some difficult moments during this tour…but you know…shit happens sometimes! 

so what’s next? 

On November 02 there’ll be the IMPRO CONNECTION TOUR II kick off!!!
I’m working on it since so many months that right now I can’t believe that I’ll be on the road again just in a couple days.Hope Autumn will be glad with me and Simone due to the fact that we’re gonna tour through Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Can’t wait to meet some great musicians and old friends on the road!

On the other hand I’m now booking the RARA AVIS tour that will take place from April/26 to MAY/09 next year. 
I’m so excited to have the chance to play with some wonderful and talented musicians like Ken Vandermark, Luca Pissavini, Simone Quatrana and Mimmo SEC_. The music recorded is pretty brilliant and will be out on early 2013 through dEN Records.

…that’s all folks! need to rest a while…pretty broken right now and just 15 minutes to recover!

Back to my blog today for the first time since April.
This year I found myself busy with so many things that is getting difficult to keep you guys posted about my activities.

The FMS Trio italian tour with Adrian Myhr (double bass) and Tore Sandbakken (drums) went quite smooth. Of course some gigs were quite sad as expected to be in this desolated country known to the most as ITALY but the final result was cool anyway. Some really good performances and some old good friends met on the road as always. Special Thanks goes to every promoter, venues and Luca Pissavini and Gianni Mimmo for their precious contributions on a couple gigs.
We’re now looking forward to release our new album on Autumn and trying to clear up our minds to fix another tour on Winter.

On June 4 and 5 I’ve been so lucky to record in Rome some new material featuring Ken Vandermark, Luca Pissavini, Simone Quatrana and Mimmo SEC_. The recording turned out really great!!! Hope it’ll be released in the near future because the music recorded is really exciting and unique at some point.
Thanx to every musicians involved in this project and to Matteo Spinazzè (Sound Engineer) for his precious job in the Recording Studio. Personally one of the most important experience to date in my musical life. So inspiring!!!

just got back few days ago from the .psychofagist. “Anti-Music Euro Tour” that it was a blast!!! Thanx to every promoter, old and new friends met on the road and to the Fuck The Facts guys! It was far beyond than awesome to hang out with you!!!

dEN002 stefano Ferrian’s dE-NOIZE “CH#02 Lophophora” _ 2nd chapter of the dE-NOIZE project this time based upon the Ghost Dance Movement and the subsequent Wounded Knee Creek Massacre by the US troops. An eclectic composition of over 30 minutes which gather improvisation, post rock, doom, progressive, avantgarde and electronic music.

dEN003 The Radiata 5tet “Aurelia Aurita” _ an interesting quintet born from the collaboration between Stefano Ferrian and Cecilia Quinteros a cello player based in Buenos Aires. Join forces in this album also Claudio Milano and Luca Pissavini, both winner of the Demetrio Stratos Prize with Nichelodeon, and Vito Emanuele Galante on Trumpet. Expect Avantgarde, Improvisation and some experiment in conduction of the higher level.

  

dEN004 Claudio Milano, Erna Franssens aka Kasjanoova “Adython” _ A great collaboration between the Claudio Milano’s vocals pirouettes and the Erna Franssens lyrics. It features the collaborations of Attila Faravelli, Alfonso Santimone (winner of the InSound contest as best electronic musician) and Stefano Ferrian. A unique blend of Dark Avantgarde and improvisation with instant sound treatment by Attila Faravelli on “L’Oracolo Di Delfi” and Alfonso Santimone on “Adython”. Liner notes by Arrington De Dionyso.

ADYTHON: is something that I had to deal with. I never recorded stuff like this in my whole life but I’m so happy I did. It’s an obscure dark/avantgarde project feat. Claudio Milano (voice), Alfonso Santimone (instant sound treatment), Attila Faravelli (instant sound treatment on track#01) and me on Tenor Saxophone.

the RADIATA 5tet: we’re working now on the packaging so everything’s gonna be fixed really soon for the release!

stefano Ferrian’s dE-NOIZE “CH#02 LOPHOPHORA”: is in the mixing process in these days. the second chapter is a travel in the Ghost Dance Movement world with a focus on the Wounded Knee Tree massacre by the US troops. the researches upon Lophophora = Peyote just bring me to this tragic event in the US history so I felt that I have to talk about that. this new album is really different from the previous one but that is what this project has to be.

all the above mentioned releases will be out through dEN Records and distribuited by Jazz Today Distribution. The release date will be announced as soon as possible.

Hello everyone. I’m just back from the .psychofagist. tour that touched such great countries like Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. it was a blast!!! so we wanna thanx every promoter, club and all the people that came to our gigs and party out with us. We hope to meet you on the road again really soon.

On the other hand the antigama/psychofagist “9 Psalms Of An Anti-Music To Come” split CD will be probably out on September through SUBORDINATE PRODS. We’re very sorry for the delay but we have had a lot of problems regarding it, but finally everything’s fixed.
